A quiet corner on Pleasant Street where fresh-baked goods meet thoughtfully brewed tea, and every visit feels like a gentle pause in a busy world.
"The kind of place that makes you forget to check your phone."
Tucked on Pleasant Street in the heart of Hammonton, The Pleasant Tea Room began as a simple idea: create a space where the ritual of tea and the warmth of homemade baking could slow time down, just a little.
Every morning, our kitchen starts early. Scones are pulled from the oven before the town wakes. Loose-leaf teas are chosen with care — each one selected to complement the pastries baked right here, on-site, with ingredients we trust.
We don't do rush. We do lingering. Whether you're meeting a friend, reading a book, or simply sitting with a cup and a moment of peace, this is your room.
Over two hundred loose-leaf varieties — from delicate white teas to bold pu-erhs, floral blends and seasonal specials, all sourced for clarity and depth.
Scones, muffins, tarts and breads — each batch made from scratch each morning. Our buttermilk scones and seasonal fruit tarts are the reason people come back.
Savory sandwiches, fresh salads, and light lunches crafted with local ingredients. Perfect for a midday pause or a quiet lunch with company.
"Tea is not just a drink — it is an invitation to be still, to savor, and to be present."
A glimpse into the atmosphere, the baking, and the quiet joy that fills our space each day.
